Livestream Studio is here!

This has been a long journey. I’ve been thinking about it for two years and talking about it for one year. After so much work and planning, the day has finally come! I’m so excited to share my studio with you and to get to know you personally.

What is Livestream Studio?
It’s a service I’m now providing to art lovers and artists via – there is something for everyone here. Among other exclusive perks, you are invited to subscribe to livestream painting sessions online twice a month where I’ll paint for my group of patrons and answer your questions. I’m also offering one-on-one mentoring to a limited number of artists.

I won’t delay this any longer. Everything you need to know is on my Patreon page. Hop over and watch my video!

So, Now I’m on Pinterest…

Rebeccafinch is on PinterestAfter probably a year of denying the attraction and not wanting to succumb to another Facebook-like black hole of time, I decided that I needed to get with it and get myself on Pinterest.

Now don’t let me be alone over there in Pinterestland.

I am adding new content each day so be patient as the pins grow. You’ll see more images of anything art related that I do, more behind the scenes studio images, bits from my blog, marketing help for artists…etc.

Coming Soon:

• Tips for displaying art in your home
• Images of almost every single painting I’ve completed (you can’t find some of these paintings anywhere)
• Book recommendations
• Art supply recommendations for my fellow artists.

And I have a few more ideas that may develop in 2016 for you all.

So, don’t leave me hanging. Follow! Like! Repin!

Daily Art for Your iPhone

Perhaps you’re interested in learning more about art, the stories behind each painting, the artist, etc, but you don’t know where to start. It can be overwhelming – it is to me and I’m an artist. I’m not always able to or in the mood to sit down with an art book, but I might want to view a painting for about 3 minutes. I want something quick, easy to understand and interesting. Well, I’ve found this little free app to be just that to me:

Daily Art & Daiy Art Pro

I use the free version of Daily Art and I find it to be perfect. Each day you get a new piece of art, a brief look at the artist and the events surrounding the painting itself. I love it. And you can keep looking back at previous art if you’re not quite done filling that artsy craving.

Daniel Keys Painting Demonstration

Have you been interested in seeing the process of painting? Art enthusiasts and artists, this is the 1st video in a series of 6 showing Daniel Keys pulling a painting to an end. Enjoy for curiosity’s sake. Drink in for instructional means.

A New Year Evaluation

Kiss the Cook ©Rebecca FinchInstead of dwelling on all that did not get done this year, Alyson B. Stanfield of Art Biz Coach has encouraged artists to make a detailed list of our accomplishments from this past year. I must say that having done this not only surprised me as to what all was done this year, but has inspired me to make a more daunting list of goals for next year. I can easily step up my commitment to art.

And because I can’t bring myself to post a blog without any photographs, here is a painting that was completed this year.
