Howdy, folks. I am back in the studio and moving slower than ever. BUT, I have a video for you. A few days ago I was asked to share how I soften my edges. So I was in the middle of a painting at that perfect moment when I could show how I do this, so I decided to put a little video together. Enjoy!

Love the videos! Respect that you take the time to do them while so busy painting! Make it look like was easy…. right! This kind of magic is hard work! I have another question; how do you stick your panel up there against the wood? I’ve been leaning mine, and I always have a little trouble with painting the lower end.

I’m not blogging as much is I want to, that’s for sure. But I’m glad that you’re enjoying it. And the last couple days my humor has left me but I think it’s coming back now.
As for keeping the panel up against the wood, it’s super complex and fancy. I put four tiny pieces of sticky tack on each corner. π aren’t you amazed? And would you expect anything different by the way I’ve rigged my studio? I steal my sons black construction paper and I messily attach it with strips of masking tape. In the moment I just do what works because I’m trying to block light or get going quickly. It isn’t pretty, but I hope what comes out of the studio is.

I’ll file that one under ‘how come I did not think about that!’ I tried the sticky tack and it worked wonders. Hey, it doesn’t have to be pretty, as long as it works!

π yes! And thank you for the encouragement. I don’t generally go for the prettiest solution, then I get embarrassed when people see. But it is what it is and that’s just real life.
