Yesterday, I shot a little video to give you the setup for the first painting and also explain some of my supplies.
I’ve learned a lot since taking this video. As state in last night’s blog, the surface of these boards are really making an unpleasant difference in how the paint responds. So today I will be trying a few new things as I analyze what the differences are and how to get around them. The fact that it’s Day 3 and there are no finished paintings yet is really bothering me, but I know that once I get the hang of it, I should be able to crank them out faster. At least, that is my hope.
Once I get more confident, we’ll be able to really have some fun. I have some ideas planned for you that include time lapse videos during the painting. But I need to get a handle on this surface, first.
See your mini studio tour below:
Hi! I’m doing the 50 paintings too! I’m looking forward to seeing your work and progress. I did not know you, but realize now that I have admired your paintings at the West End Gallery. Gorgeous!

Ack! Another fellow crazy person! Are you showing your progress anywhere? I’d love to see. And thank you, you’re so kind. I am so blessed to be at West End – truly wonderful people to work with.

So far just on facebook. I’ve been thinking about doing a blog for quite some time. Maybe now is the time. Just another thing to do! Why not? 🙂
